Automotive Engineering & Technology Advanced Program

(College-Based, Junior/Senior)

Enrollment for high school juniors interested in this advanced, college-based automotive program will open for the 2026-2027 school year. This program is designed for students passionate about automotive engineering, vehicle systems, and hands-on problem solving.

Program Highlights

  • Two-year curriculum combining classroom instruction and real auto shop lab hands-on training.

  • Covers 11 foundational automotive courses over 38 weeks each school year.

  • Comprehensive education from basic to advanced automotive repair, including engine mechanics, electrical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance.

  • Curriculum is grounded in industry standards and prepares students for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications nationally recognized benchmark of technical expertise.

  • Junior year focuses on core automotive systems, including engine mechanics and diagnostics.

  • Senior year advances into complex repair techniques and emerging automotive technologies.

Pathway to Industry Certification

  • Graduates become eligible for a two-year, part-time paid Apprenticeship Program with Auto Pros Lancaster Auto Repair.

  • Apprenticeship provides essential hands-on experience and fulfills ASE certification work requirements.

  • Part-time schedule balances practical training with focused study for ASE exam preparation.

Career Support

  • Nationwide job placement assistance through our partnership with the Automotive Training Institute (ATI), connecting you to over 1,600 automotive shops across the U.S. and Canada.

Future Auto Techs Middle School STEM Program

Enrollment is now open for middle school students eager to discover the exciting world of automotive repair! Only 40 spots are available- secure your place soon, as space is limited.

Program Overview

This hands-on course introduces students to the fundamentals of automotive technology, providing a strong foundation for those interested in advancing to our Automotive Engineering & Technology Prep Program (Freshman/Sophomore) and beyond. Throughout the school year, students will complete 15 engaging STEM projects designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and develop real-world skills.

In this program, students will:

  • Explore how vehicles work and what keeps them running smoothly

  • Build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through practical activities

  • Collaborate in teams to complete 15 hands-on STEM projects, each focusing on a different aspect of automotive technology

  • Automotive Engineering & Technology Advanced Program (College-Based, Junior/Senior): Engage in advanced coursework and real-world experiences, preparing for college or entry into the automotive industry
